ALPR: He's watching



Automatic license plate recognition (ALPR) technology is now in East Palo Alto, California...

...Polk county, Florida...

...Seattle, Washington...

...Montgomery county, Texas...

...and, it seems, everywhere.  Not surprisingly,  in Saudi Arabia too:

A senior judicial scholar has declared the automatic license plate recognition (ALPR) system implemented in Saudi Arabia a praiseworthy endeavour.
In the eight months since the first camera was installed in Riyadh, license plate recognition cameras have been going up around the country, the Saudi Gazette reports...
Automatic license plate recognition systems are starting to become more popular around the world. In recent weeks the systems have been installed in the American states of Louisiana and North Dakota, as well as Saudi Arabia.
