Newspaper editorials blast CARB

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) is a bureaucracy run amok.  It has also been recently involved in enormous climate-change controversies and some outright scandals.

The San Diego Union-Tribune eviscerated the California Air Resources Board (CARB) in a Friday editorial ("Air board should tend to own credibility").  The San Jose Mercury News recently did the same ("ARB needs to dispel facts-be-damned image").  Both papers still argue for the Board's overall importance.  But when two Mainstream Media outlets call out CARB's outrageous practices, it's an admission that something is very wrong.

It's probably too much to hope that the state's 12% unemployment rate will finally awaken Californians from their slumber about CARB -- and the rest of their job-killing, State-regulatory apparatus.
