Deflation? Inflation!: QE2 working like a charm at the gas pump

Gasoline prices are headed into the above-$3-per-gallon territory (average) for US motorists by year's end, according to the Lundberg Survey, reports CNN.  All thanks to the Federal Reserve.  In contrast, Lundberg's September survey showed gas prices flat.  Yes, there are lots of factors involved.  Somehow, though, the Fed-defending chattering class (see Robert Wenzel on this)  never seems to admit that systemic inflation is one of those factors.
